“The San Francisco Minstrels enter their second year at No. 585 Broadway, opposite the Metropolitan Hotel, this week. Messrs. Birch, Wambold, Bernard and Backus show their faces on the bills and are on the boards in propria persona as usual. It is no small praise to the minstrels to say that they do not find it necessary to change their programme, and are still refreshing and amazing.”
