“George Christy has another attraction at the new Fifth Avenue Opera House, in the engagement of Mr. S.S. Purdy, a well known Ethiopian comedian, who will appear there this evening and during the week.  Geo. Christy, G.W.H. Griffen [sic] and S.S. Purdy are named in a programme of much excellence, concluding with a grand festival dance by the entire troupe.  George Christy will have a complimentary benefit at the house next Saturday.”
