Announcement: New York Herald, 25 June 1866, 5.

“At the hall No. 585 Broadway, opposite the Metropolitan Hotel, Messrs. Birch, Wambold, Bernard and Backus continue inviting and attractive.  They have made very little change in their programme, a fact which, we presume, is to be accepted as evidence of its popularity.  The performances are to conclude with a laughable burlesque of the Niagara Leap by the Busy Family.”

Review: New York Herald, 26 June 1866, 5.

“A very select, though not a large audience greeted this favorite troupe at the inauguration of their programme for the week last evening, notwithstanding the excessive heat.  The performance was admirable throughout, and met with the approbation of those present, if we can judge from the frequent applause that followed at the conclusion of each piece.”

Announcement: New York Clipper, 30 June 1866, 95.

The Busy Family—a connexion of the San Francisco Minstrels—are to do the Niagara Leap this evening and during the week. The cleverness with which the acrobats and gymnasts of this band performed the famous Zampillacrostation act, in black, is an evidence of what may be expected from them in this roaring cataract leap.  Stand from under.”
