“‘A Head without a body’ is one of the unexplained dark mysteries now being exhibited by the San Francisco Minstrels, who are a go-a-head band, having both head and body of equally talented proportions, and whose success is no unexplained mystery, but the natural result of attention to business, and obedience to the demands of their patrons. One of their latest acts is the ‘Committee of Ways and Means;’ if they hope to imitate the Washington committee they will have to exhibit some very mean ways, which they ain’t on it at this house of colored representatives.”
