“This is the last night of Mr. Maretzek’s season, and ‘L’Etoile du Nord’ will be again presented. This opera has been given so many times that it is needless to say anything in regard to it, or as to the manner in which it has been brought out. It has been one of the most successful operas of the season—a fact due very largely to the beautiful vocalization and acting of Miss Kellogg in one of the leading parts.”

Brief. “Academy of Music.—‘L’Etoile du Nord’ was given here last evening to a brilliant and even an overflowing audience. The performance terminated Mr. Maretzek’s regular season—the most regular and the most successful on record.”
