“The performance will commence with the recitation of a Fireman’s Address, by Mr. W.H. Pope. Then will come the elegant little comedy of ‘The Morning Call.’ Mr. Nolan will then dance, to the music of Mr. Buckly’s [sic] banjo.  Miss Proudfoot, Mr. Leonard, and Miss Carman will then enact the sleep-walking scene from ‘Macbeth.’ Mr. Williamson will then recite, in character, Shamus O’Brien, and Mr. Tommy Thompson will dance an Irish jig.  Finally, with an excellent cast, ‘Deaf as a Post’ will be performed—Mr. Fisher playing Templeton, and Mr. Holland Tristan Sappy.  That this entertainment is worthy of especial attention we need not say. May the house be crowded, and may the bereaved parents of one who died in the faithful performance of perilous duty be substantially benefited through this commendable enterprise.”
