Regarding the Saturday benefit: “Eph Horn was to have put in an appearance and do an act with Nelse Seymour, but Eph being in Philadelphia, and not getting back in time, Bob Hart did the negro sketch called ‘Othello,’ with Mr. Seymour.  The Dobson brothers appeared in a banjo solo; C. E. Melville sang, and the O’Neil brothers and Claude Conner appeared in a gymnastic performance.  The house was crowded and everything passed off satisfactorily.”

“Truly wonderful gymnastic performances, which have never been surpassed by any other gymnasts that have ever appeared in this city.”
