“Today, in this theater, an extraordinary performance for the benefit of the master souffleur [prompter] Mr. Jos. Meyer takes place. The comic operetta Das Dorfbarbier and the comedy Nach Sonnenuntergang by Angely will be performed. Mrs. Hübner, Mr. Knorr, and Mr. Fortner are involved in the two pieces. May a full house be shared with the man [Mr. Meyer] this evening, hidden from the public eye, but very much contributing to the success of the viewers’ entertainment.”
