“The theatre of the above named minstrels was crowded last evening with a fashionable audience, many persons being compelled to stand up for want of seats. The programme was varied and interesting, and was excellently performed. A caricature of Norma, between Messrs. Rice and Bernard, was excellent, and occasioned roars of laughter. A ‘breakneck’ act between Birch and Wambold was also very comical. The evening’s entertainment closed with the burlesque of the Hilton Head Institute, which was received with much laughter and hearty applause.”
