“The third promenade concert arranged under the auspices of the Thirty-seventh regiment, took place last night, at the Armory, corner of Broadway and Thirty-fifth street. The concert proved a grand success and was well attended. In the first part of the programme there were selections from the music of Mendelssohn, Schubert, Donizetti and Parlow. In the second part there were selections from Petrella, Carella, Wrighton and Conterno. The band of the regiment performed the above, rendering them with excellent effect. The entertainment closed with dancing in the following order:—Quadrille, redows, lancers and polka and galop [sic]. Signor L. Conterno performed the duties of musical director.”
