“You can get a look at the ‘Black Crook’ at Niblo’s without being quite so much squeezed as formerly; but the houses are still large as well as appreciative. We don’t know whether those complaining ballet girls have yet convinced their employers—Palmer and Jarett—that a five dollar greenback is not equal to an English pound sterling. On our first page, en passant, may be found a poem entitled the ‘Dying Ballet Girl.’ Read it.”
