On scalping tickets at the Academy of Music. "We are desired by the manager [Grau] to state that the patrons of the opera will consult their interests by not purchasing tickets of speculators at the doors. Some inconvenience, we are informed, has been experienced from this cause. To prevent misrepresentations, the manager desires it to be understood that a certain number of seats, equal to the average demand for them, is always set apart for the evening sale, and no one need purchase a ticket outside, in the belief that the regular office of the establishment has 'sold out' all its vouchers."
