“Three one act pieces constituted the programme at this establishment last evening. The first, Une Loge d’Opera, was a mere sketch, in which sparkling dialogue was substituted for the dramatic action looked for in the most trifling production. MM. Chandon and Deligne and Mme. Saunier appeared to good advantage, although at times the comedietta dragged somewhat heavily. Two pleasing vaudevilles, Une Fille Terrible and Monsieur Lafleur, were subsequently enacted with encouraging success, MM. Chol and Edgard, Mme. Daire and Mlle. Camel personating their respective characters with unusual verve. A series of musical intermede introduced M. Levassor, a new comic singer, and MM. Francis and Anthelme. The latter artiste, who last evening made a long farewell to the American public, was the recipient of hearty applause.”
