The “Theater Scandal” was a big success. Part of this farce is performed in the auditorium, much to the amusement of the audience. Genee was applauded with enthusiasm and her name called out after the curtain had closed.

The German Stadttheater had two disappointing weeks economically. The Ottilie Genée performances were not as successful as they used to be, probably due to the unfavorable weather conditions.
