“A MATINEE PERFORMANCE was given at Budworth’s Minstrel Hall on the 20th inst. The house was bought for that occasion by a number of ladies and gentlemen living in the neighborhood of the Hall. The occasion was to commemorate the birthday of a young lady named Dolly Fischer. Only invited guests were present. The affair was said to have passed on very pleasantly. There were over two hundred private carriages that set down heads west and took up heads east.”
