Review: New York Herald, 22 December 1866, 5.

“A crowded house ushered the representation given last evening for the benefit of the German hospital. Mlle. Ottilie Genée, the clever soubrette, appeared in The Hirsch Family and in Ein Theater Scandal, and was heartily applauded. During the progress of the evening, Mlle. Genée was offered a magnificent basket of flowers, the gift of the ladies on the committee of arrangements. Mr. Pollack, who had volunteered to assist, was very favorably received, and his vocal performance was encored.”
