“The temple of Momus was filled to its utmost capacity last evening with a large and delighted audience, who listened, evidently with pleasure, to the popular songstress, Miss Eva Brent, in her beautiful ballads, and who witnessed the characteristic ballet of La Fleur de Lia without having their sensibilities shocked by a too scanty display of gauze. The performance concluded with the laughable pantomime of Nicodemus, or Baked Alive, in which Messrs. Edeson, Hart, Ke[a]rns and Miss Laura Le Claire sustained the leading parts.”
