“Venue Description: New Yorker Central Halle. Next Tuesday the former old Stadttheater, now transformed and called New Yorker Central Halle, will open its doors to the public. The establishment, owned by Geo. Küster and Grube, has a ball room measuring 102 by 51 feet large and 24 feet high. The room will be lit by more than a hundred gas lights which light 5 chandeliers. Above the ball room, there are 9 high and spacious rooms which are used as bar, lounge and coat-check areas. The ladies’ restrooms will be elegantly designed by Carl Worrett. Directly underneath the ball room is another large hall measuring 110 by 51 feet planned to be utilized as a space for drills for the armory’s cavalry regiment. Located in the basement is the dining hall measuring 110 by 25 feet; immediately next to it are the kitchens. The venue will be opened next Tuesday with a big opening ball.”
