“…As usual is this genre of the farce, there is not much of a plot, and the characters are mostly taken from the Berlin ‘Volksstück’, which seemed familiar yet unrealistic. However, the couplets, the music, the jokes etc. were partly amusing and effective. One can laugh heartily and that says a lot. The performance was done well and surprisingly lavishly decorated.”
