“A full house assembled at the neat little hall last evening. The first parts of the evening’s entertainment passed off smoothly and were very well received; but the most amusing portion was the burlesque entitled Cinder-Leon. Although not bearing the slightest relation to Cendrillon, it was nevertheless sufficiently comical to create laughter, and as mirth was that sought for by the audience, those present were satisfied with having something to laugh at, without caring whether the burlesque in any way resembled the piece being performed at the New York Theatre.”

“‘The Demon Dance’ is one of the latest novelties produced by Kelly & Leon’s Minstrels, and introduced in their burlesque of ‘Cinderleon,’ which has made quite a hit at 720 Broadway, and in which all the semi-demoiselles of the troupe appear. ‘The only Leon’ figures as first figurante, and the only Kelly does the graceful as Kellefanti [sic]. In keeping with the act it burlesques, the ‘Demon Dance’ is on at 9:30.”
