Describes Vousden as “The Great Polynational Mimic.”

Review: New York Herald, 25 January 1867, 8.

“This protean actor and mimic performer still holds forth at Clinton Hall in his grotesque entertainment entitled, ‘The Unity of Nations,’ in which he personates many characters with remarkable differences of dialect, appropriateness of facial expression and prompt changes of costume. Mr. Vousden is an actor of many accomplishments, and his entertainment is both original and amusing, but the public seem to have failed to recognize his merits as they deserve, although the audience drawn are appreciative and amused.”
