“‘UNDER THE GASLIGHT’ has proved a great card for the Worrell Sisters’ Theatre, for it has attracted crowded houses every night since the initial performance. On several evenings the aisles have been so cramped with camp stools that it was next to an impossibility to pass out. The play runs very smoothly now, and although we cannot speak of it as possessing much literary merit, yet it is a good ‘acting’ play. The Worrell Sisters were to have commenced their engagement this evening, but, owing to the great success of this piece, arrangements have been made for its continuance three to four weeks longer. . . .”
