"The second presentation of La Papillonne last evening attracted a large audience. In a brief notice we adverted to the dramatic and literary worth of the play—one of the most amusing of Sardou’s many productions. We can therefore dismiss the subject with the remark that the artistes did full justice to the play, which was received with the same tokens of appreciation that greeted its first performance. MM. Scribot, Juignet and Deligne, with Mmes. Saunier and Carnel, were recalled at the conclusion of the comedy. Subsequent to rendering La Papillonne, Mlle. Naddie sang the 'Venzano Waltz' and a ballad, the good effect of which was well marred by the wretched accompaniments of the orchestra. M. Deligne also gave a comic song, and was heartily applauded."
