Review: New-Yorker Staats-Zeitung und Herold, 08 October 1867, 8.

The Germania Assembly Rooms were decorated beautifully for the event. All the rooms were newly painted with improved interior design. (Program and participants in the review) The orchestra, conducted by Loesch, played marvelously. The choral performance was mediocre; however, the audience received the prized song “Der Studenten Nachtgesang” with enthusiasm. The song won at the Philadelphia Chorus Festival. The chorus proved at this concert, it not only possesses some fairly good voices, but also that it has progressed well with eagerness and diligence.

The attendance of the event was high. All above pieces were performed with precision and confidence. The following ball was joyous and amusing.
