The Music in Gotham Book
Vera Brodsky Lawrence’s books on Strong were conceived and written before the advent of the internet. She included many details of the concerts she discussed, including excerpts from reviews. The volumes are encyclopedic in the information they contain, and, as a result, are not easily read from cover to cover. Music in Gotham plans to issue two volumes, one each for the two phases of the project, which will give overviews of the period by genre. The details so valuably included by Lawrence in her volumes are found in this database.
