“’CHASE’S MINSTRELS’ is the title of a new organization under the management of H. A. Chase, Jr. They opened at a hall on the southwest corner of Eighth avenue and Thirty-fourth street on the 18th inst.  to a crowded house, and appeared during the week to fair houses. Hughey Dougherty and S. S. Purdy are on the ends, and during this first part things are pretty lively between these two clever comedians. The Minstrels are announced to appear every evening this week as well as Saturday afternoon.”
