Announcement: New York Clipper, 19 October 1867, 222.

“Among the new faces offered the patrons of Butler’s American Theatre this week, are Marie Western, actress; Millie Ashton, vocalist; George Coes, Ethiopian Comedian, and Thomas Ryan, better known as Master Tommy in the days of old ‘444,’ who has since grown to man’s estate.  The first two performers are strangers in this city, but the last two are old favorites.”
