Program, performers. “[A]s so many requests have been made for her cartes de visite, [Cubas] has decided to present A COPY TO EVERY LADY VISITOR to the parquette and dress circle. The cartes have been executed in the highest style of art by FREDERICKS & CO., BROADWAY. . . . La Madrilena represents, perhaps, in the most glowing form that intense passion which is the characteristic of the dance of Southern Spain, the very weeds of whose soil are hot and fervent. The Cubas will dance La Madrilena in the precise costume worn in Andalusia on nights of festive dance, and impart to it all that rapture and abandon which belongs to this, the most magnificent of the national dances of Spain.”
