“The Arabs entered last night upon the last week of their engagement. Their feats are truly wonderful, and to see them in the 'whirlwinds,' the 'pyramids' or their other displays of strength and agility, is enough to throw one into a profuse perspiration. The perilous attitudes of the Campomanes brothers on the trapeze make the heart stand still in breathless suspense. The prices of admission on the Arab nights have been considerably reduced. The gun exercises continue as usual. They are a wonderful tribe; and if the rest of the children of the desert are not like them, we wonder not that caravan folks are scared when they come across such uncanny beings.”

Brief: “Speaking of the 'Japs' [at the Academy of Music] reminds us of their oriental rivals at the French Theatre, the Arabs, who are certainly far superior to the former as acrobats.”
