“Mme De Lussan, the favorite soprano of St. Stephen’s church, had a benefit at this hall last night. She sang selections from La Grande Duchesse, Millard, Verdi and Ricci in a style that brought encores each time. Mme. De Lussan has been a favorite in concerts for many years past, and to judge from the enthusiasm of her hearers she still sways in the concert hall. She was assisted by the admirable pianist, Pattison, Mr. L'Estrange, tenor; Mme. Nalmo and other artists. The concert was a very interesting one and was well rendered.”
