Announcement: New York Post, 03 April 1868.

“To-night a lecture will be given at Steinway Hall, by Miss Clara Barton, on the ‘Work and Incidents of Army Life.’ The entertainment is given in honor of the anniversary of the fall of Richmond, and is for the benefit of the suffering families of the soldiers. In addition to Miss Barton’s lecture, an address will be made by General Hawkins, and Mr. W. H. Pope, of Wallack’s Theatre, will recite ‘Barbara Frietchie.’ Mr. Morgan is to play the organ and the Union Glee Club will sing.”
