“Banvard’s Museum.—‘Frost King, or the Charmed King,’ a new and rather boldly venturesome candidate for popular favor in the way of spectacular pieces, was presented at this establishment on Monday evening. A large and certainly appreciative house, judging from the favorable reception given the piece, welcomed its first appearance…There are plenty of good songs interspersed in the piece, giving to it a pleasing variety and sparkling vivacity.” Remainder on the quality of the acting.
