“The very old Indian spectacle, ‘The Wept of the Wish-ton Wish,’ was revived at the Winter Garden last evening, to give Cubas the opportunity of appearing in another pantomime part. The piece was advertised as ‘Naramattah,’ and we object as decidedly to putting new names to old plays as to putting new wine in old bottles, or new cloth into old garments. In spite of the mild swindle of this change of name, the performance deserves a word of praise principally on account of Cubas’ brilliant acting and the fine tableaux. The spectacle . . . makes a very enjoyable entertainment. The audience was large.â€
