Announcement: New York Clipper, 10 October 1868, 214.

Levy, the Cornet Player, is announced by Mr. Seguin to shortly appear in this city in a series of concerts with Parepa Rosa. This is the same Levy who, out of jealousy, we are told, was the cause of having Charles E. Dobson hissed off the stage at the Prince of Wales’ Theatre, Birmingham, Eng., about a year ago, as stated in our columns at the time. [Describes ensuing arguments between the two musicians, including physical altercations.] We have heard it rumored that Mr. Levy’s debut here will be attended by a similar disturbance, and an attempt will be made to hiss him from the stage.”
