Review: New York Post, 01 May 1869.

“A fine audience was in attendance last night at Steinway’s Hall, on the occasion of the benefit complimentary concert to Mr. Millard. Parepa was the principal vocalist. She sang Millard’s song ‘Waiting,’ a duet of Verdi’s with Millard, and her part in the ‘Lombardi’ trio, Carl Rosa playing the beautiful violin passages that prelude the latter. Mr. G. F. Hall was also among the vocalists, and Mr. Harry Sanderson played with unusual effect. The concert was altogether satisfactory.”

Review: New-York Daily Tribune, 03 May 1869, 5.

Brief. “The concert given by Mr. H. Millard, on Friday evening, at Steinway Hall, was remarkably successful. Madame Parepa Rosa was the chief attraction.”
