“There was quite a change and thinning out of the company at the Tammany, the latter part of the past week. The Zanfrettas, and all the dancers were given leave to leave on the 3d, thus detracting from the previous attractions of the burlesque of ‘Clorinda,’ and making it less enjoyable than it had been. There were barely enough people left to get up the song and walk around in the ball room scene. As now presented, the honors of the burlesque are farily divided between the fairly-like Leona Cavender and the gushing Leffingwell. Miss Cavender has already become a great favorite with Tammany audiences, and she is well entitled to all the applause she nightly receives.”
