“A crowded audience attended Mr. Jerome Hopkins’s second Orpheon Fund Concert at the Y. M. C. Association Palace Hall Wednesday evening. On this occasion the Orpheon Oratorio Society of adults and choir boys sang some choruses from Handel, Haydn, and Mendelssohn, and showed a commendable degree of culture in these difficult works.”
