“The concerts of Mdlle. Carlotta Patti have charmed prodigious throngs this week at Steinway Hall, where two further entertainments by that lady are announced for the evening of Wednesday and Thursday, the 6th and 7th of October, respectively. Mdlle. Patti has made a success on her reappearance that has exceeded the expectations of her most sanguine friends, and such as must have proved most grateful to herself. Her voice has been at its best during the whole week, and as the [?] concerts advertised, when she is to be assisted by Sig. Ronconi, in addition to the others of her suite, entirely new programmes will be given, thus affording opportunity to judge in various styles of one of the most extraordinary organs in existence. There is not the least doubt but that the coming week will be, for Mdlle. Patti, a repetition of the triumph of the past one.”
