“Mr. W. B. Harrison’s enterprising songs on the topics of the day, which were extended to personal jokes on peculiar people above and below in the audience, brought down the house in a chorus of applause.”

“The Amazonia ballet of ‘The Silver Knights’ was very well done the past week, introducing Venturoli in some of her most graceful dances. The ladies of the ballet were all dressed handsomely and did well. Arnold Kiralfy did the Hungarian dance and received an encore each evening. Madelaine Hardy, vocalist, also appeared.”

“Master Barney also did a jig dance, receiving an encore. Madelaine Hardy opened on the 3d, giving a selection of songs, which, by the way, were not very good. The lady makes a good appearance, but her voice is not a musical one. W. B. Harrison the extemporaneous singer, was received with great applause each evening and his singing was encored at every entertainment. Annie Hindle did some new character songs, all of which were well received.”
