“A concert in aid of the Home for Friendless Women, was given at Steinway Hall last evening. Misses Kellogg and Nettie Sterling, and Mr. W. J. Hill sang, and Miss Mehlig was at the piano. All the selections were encored, and to one of the demands for a repeat, Miss Kellogg, who was in excellent voice and sang deliciously, responded by giving ‘Beware,’ with a piano accompaniment supplied by herself. Miss Mehlig was heard to most advantage in Liszt’s arrangement of Mendelssohn’s ‘Wedding March.’”
