“To the Editor of the Herald—

“Dear Sir—Will you kindly permit me, through your paper, to correct the statement made in our advertisements today, relative to Madame Parepa-Rosa’s intended departure for Europe. The announcement that she would leave America indefinitely was, I am happy to state, an error, as her visit to Europe will only be temporary, and for the purposes of rest and attention to family matters in London. I make this correction personally, as I wrote the advertisement containing the erroneous statement, and employed the term ‘indefinitely’ under a misapprehension. Yours, truly, C. D. HESS.”

The same correction appears in: New York Herald advertisement 04/04/70, p. 12.
