“Terrace Garden, at the corner of Third avenue and Fifty-ninth street, will be opened to the public on the 4th of June. The establishment has passed into the hands of Mr. H. Cabell, who has altered and improved the grounds and buildings, and constructed in addition to a beautifully decorated orchestra hall on the western part of the terrace. A theatre has also been fitted up, capable of seating one thousand persons, which will be under the direction of Henry Grau. A fine orchestra has been organized, which will be led by Henry Mollenhauer in concerts to be given every evening during the season. Terrace Garden has been for several seasons a favorite evening resort for lovers of good music and cool and comfortable surroundings, and it promises to be still more popular the coming season under the new management.”
