“Miss Lisle Riddell and Miss Annie Hindle were the fresh appearances at the Theatre Comique during the past week. They are both vocalists, though differing widely in style. Miss Riddell has a pretty face and figure, a sweet, powerful voice, and sings exceedingly well. She is evidently yet in her novitiate career, but possesses all the elements of success. Miss Hindle’s qualifications are well known. She sang a number of character songs in male attire with rapid changes of costume which won the favor of the audience.”
