“Aimée’s opera bouffe enterprise at the little theatre in Broadway seems to meet with much favor. A variety of operas have been given this week with much success. In ‘La Périchole’ on Thursday night Aimée sung with charming spirit, while her acting was delicious in its thorough humor. The Piquillo of Offenbach’s most delightful opera found an excellent representative in Noe, a tenor who has youth and good looks to aid in enhancing the attractions of an admirable voice, and great ease and vivacity of action. In fact, next to Aujac, M. Noe is the most satisfactory opera-bouffe tenor we have had here.”
