Review: New York Clipper, 20 September 1873, 196.

“…Miss Teresa, who has a plump form, pleasing face and good voice, well-cultivated, sang a ballad which met with favor. Later in the evening, with Herr Springer, she sang the ‘Cat Duet,’ which has been so frequently heard in this city, as interpreted by other artists, that comparison was inevitable, and the result was unfavorable to the Springers. In other selections we think they will prove more successful. Banjo solos and songs by William West, a jig by Master Barney…songs-and-dances by Miss Helene Smith, a comic knee dance by Johnny Queen…filled out the programme, which attracted an excellent attendance during the week…”
