“…Little Jennie Yeamans indulged in a wide departure in her character songs, impersonating a boot-black, and afterwards doing a song-and-dance in male character, in both of which she was quite successful. Mrs. John Wild, whose pretty face charms every beholder, won favor in serio-comic songs, as did James Bradley in songs-and-dances. Alexander Davis continued his ventriloquial conversations with his puppets, and afterwards sang a song which was well received. Jennie Hughes [wore a new dress, which is described]…sang three fresh songs, which drew the approbation of the auditory…Although an excellent business has been done, a falling-off in the attendance is noticeable, and the side aisles and lobby being no longer crowded with persons unable to procure seats.”
