“…A quintet song-and-dance by the Carrolls and James Bradley made a hit. Each performer gave a song-and-dance by himself, and then five appeared conjointly in one song-and-dance. They were liberally applauded and recalled. Sophie Elma sang ballads with her usual success; Tom Harper gave one-legged songs-and-dances; Kitty O’Neil gave some excellent jig dancing; Edward Harrigan’s fresh comic songs; and Mrs. John Wild, who reappeared after a brief absence caused by indisposition, sang serio-comic songs… Miss Jennie Hughes, who was also prevented, by illness, from appearing during a portion of the week, met with applause for her vocalisms…” No further mention of music.
