“…elaborate preparations have been made for the musical service, as usual in this church on festivals. Mozart’s Twelfth Mass will be rendered by a double quartet, and the organ will be supplemented by an orchestra of twenty-two pieces.”
“At this well known Catholic church the musical services will be very fine. [Lists works.] The first quartet consists of [Bredelli, Manier, Bernard, Coletti]. The chorus portions of the mass will be given by a second quartet, augmented on this occasion by a chorus of 40 voices. An orchestra of 20 pieces, with organ, will be under the direction of H. B. Danforth.”
“…The music was Mozart’s ‘Twelfth Mass,’ played by an orchestra of twenty pieces, and sung by fifty voices under the direction of Danforth at the organ and Carl Bergman [sic] conducting. The soprano solos were well rendered by Mme. Bredelli, who was in excellent voice. Colletti’s bass and Bernard’s tenor were fine, and the oboe accompaniment in the ‘Sanctus’ and ‘Agnus Dei’ was tastefully and effectively given. The festival for the Sunday-school children was held at 2 P. M. in the basement, and vespers at 4½ P. M.”
“…the choir sang Mozart’s ‘Twelfth Mass,’ with organ and orchestral accompaniment. At the offertory the hymn, ‘Adeste fidelis,’ was sung by Mme. Bredelli, soprano, Mlle. Manie, contralto, and Signor Coletti, basso, with a full chorus of 40 voices.” No further mention of music.
