Most excellent music is discoursed every evening by the band of one hundred performers, and the success of the experiment is attested by the large audiences which nightly fill the building. The garden is also thrown open every afternoon, without music, as a promenade for ladies and children, and affords a pleasant retreat from the heat and dust of the city.”
