“[illegible first line] the performances at the Olympic Theatre are nightly witnessed by full houses. Mr. John F. Poole, the manager, seems to understand the art of catering for the variety loving public to perfection, and the fact that the houses continue good in the hot weather is the highest compliment which could be paid to his peculiar skill. The bill for the week presented last night was as strong as usual in the olio, and the musical burlesque of ‘Aladdin,’ which closed the performance, was a decided hit. Miss Emeline Young, who took the Princess, is gaining many encomiums, both for her singing and acting, and the whole performance was artistically presented.”
